Las Vegas 2026

• We packed out bags and headed to Las Vegas NV in late April of 2026.
• Breeze airways was offering direct flights from our rural local airport (ACV) to Las Vegas. The flight was quick (hour and a half) and on time.
• We checked into the Flamingo Hotel for three nights.
  The first day we just explored the Las Vegas strip.
• The next day (my Birthday) we had a delicious steak and eggs breakfast at a place called "Favorite". For beverage I had their famous margarita (very good). For evening entertainment we attended the "Tournament of Kings' at Excaliber. This event was very fun, Knights and Kings battled and jousted, then fought with swords. All while we enjoyed a hearty meal of chicken, corn, potato and roll. They included a grog of water or pepsi, I had a frozen margarita (huzzah!!).
• The final day, we spent the afternoon visiting the Cat Rescue/Cafe in North Las Vegas. It was super chill just hanging with and petting the cats for an hour. Nice to get away from the crowd and noise on the strip for a bit. The final night of the trip we went to Caesars Palace (no the real Caesar didn't stay there) to see Cindy Lauper perform at the Colosseum. Awesome show.
• Do I plan to go back to Vegas? Likely not anytime soon. I was crowded, loud, dirty and very expensive. When a water costs $11 it sorta feels like a ripoff. But I still had a good enough time for what I chose to do.
